STRELA 42mm just arrived !

...after 3 years waiting, the STRELA 42mm Chronographs just arrived! These nice Strela 42mm are available in 6 versions ( black, white and brightgolden dial - each available with cyrillic or latin spelling ) and they are detailled designed and very similar to the original column-wheel-chronographs "Strela" of the 60´ies. They also feature saphire crystal and blue screws in the Poljot 3133 caliber. This is a very special and nice new watch series from Russia ! The smaller 38mm Strelas are still available, too.

Building of the Manufacture

In May 2013 I had the possibility and joy to visit the watch manufacturer Poljot International / Alexander Shorokhoff in Alzenau at the invitation of CEO Mr. Alexander Shorokhoff!

In this pretty, small town near Frankfurt, is the old, impressively building of the factory. There, the watchmakers decorate and engrave the well known russian movements (eg Poljot, Slava, Vostok) and the watches are assembled and tested extensively.
The brands Poljot-International, Basilica and the exclusive brand Alexander Shorokhoff are manufactured there. Here are a few pictures of the factory.
